Workshop for Librarians

Biography: Carol Gordon is Associate Professor in the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University and the Associate Director of the Center for International Scholarship in School Libraries (CISSL).

She holds a doctoral degree in Education from Boston University and has been a school librarian in public and private schools, including elementary, middle and high school grades, in the U.S. and in Europe. Her consulting has brought her to Asia, Africa, and South America where she works with schools on curriculum, instruction, school libraries, technology, literacy, and action research.

Before coming to Rutgers, she was Head of the Education Library at Boston University and an academic librarian. Dr. Gordon’s research interests include adolescent information behavior, the information to-knowledge connection, and 21st century literacies.
