Announcing the first annual “K12 Online 2006″ convention for teachers, administrators and educators around the world interested in the use of Web 2.0 tools in classrooms and professional practice. This year’s conference is scheduled to be held over two weeks, Oct. 23-27 and Oct. 30- Nov. 3 with the theme “Unleashing the Potential.” The K12 Online 2006 blog has just gone live.
A preconference presentation at 8:00 pm (China time)--Monday 16th Oct. 2006 (or at your convenience) from David Warlick.
Then an informal virtual chat will take place online using Elluminate Live software at 6:00am (China time) Tues., 17 Oct 2006 with David and the four conference organizers (Sheryl Nussbaum-Beach, Will Richardson, Wesley Fryer and Wesley Fryer).

IBAP Teachers' Convention 2007

From March 31 to April 2, the International Baccalaureate Organization Asia Pacific will host the 2007 IBAP Teachers’ Convention in Singapore.
The focus of the 2007 Convention will be:
"Information Literacy Across the IB Programmes "

The 2007 Convention is for educators, administrators, programme coordinators, media and library specialists and IB teachers in each of the three programmes (DP, MYP, PYP), from International and IB World Schools around the region. Educators who have a specific interest in information literacy issues, such as Teacher Librarians, Librarians, IT Specialists, Media Specialists, and/or Language and literacy specialists, are also invited to attend.
